The Challenge

Located on a 30-acre site adjacent to Little Cypress Creek, a large portion of the site is in the floodplain, therefore detention and mitigation volumes have to be provided.

The Solution

Designed a dry pond within the floodplain area that will provide the detention and mitigation volumes required for the entire 30 acre development. Civil 3D software was used to design this detention pond, and to provide cross section views of site cut & fill. This dry pond has an area of approximately 2.5 acres, and will be used as part of the center’s sports fields for soccer, track & field, etc.

$3.5 million, 23,000 square foot center will accommodate up to 125 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for physical and sensory therapy thru music, arts and sports.
